PRESS RELEASE

 In separate  engagements, Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Ganga Prasad today,  granted audience to  a group of  students and teachers from Palzor Namgyal Girls Senior Secondary School, Gangtok  and a  delegation from Remanti Sangeet Academy, Gangtok.

It was the courtesy call by the students belonging to the famous team of Atal Tinkering Lab at Palzor Namgyal Girls Senior Secondary School who have won the prestigious Robotex Nationals held  in Ahmedabad on 28th July  this year. The team is  heading to Shanghai, China on 14th August 2019 to compete at the global competition. It may be mentioned that the Atal Tinkering Lab of PNG with its instructor Mr Ivan Dorjee Lepcha and three immensely talented students namely Ms. Prerna Pradhan, Ms. Sushmita Sharma and Ms. Batseba Lepcha, all belonging to Class XII Science section of the school, have won the national competition Robotex Nationals and have bagged the opportunity to represent the country at the global stage.

Hon’ble Governor expressed his delight on the achievements of students and blessed the students and the instructor for the future competition. Hon’ble Governor said that by winning the national competition on Robotics, the team has brought fame and goodwill for the school and Sikkim in general. It is the reflection of hard work and dedication of the team and also the glimpse of  talent that Sikkimese youth and students possess, Hon’ble Governor quoted.

In another engagement, Hon’ble Governor launched an audio video of National Anthem, produced under the banner of  Remanti Sangeet Academy, Gangtok. The video features four vocal students of Remanti Sangeet Academy. It was an initiative of Remanti Sangeet Academy to provide platform to the talented young girls and an extension towards promoting the national campaign of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao.

Hon’ble Governor expressed his pleasure on releasing the video and extended best wishes for the academy and its students for their future endeavour. He also blessed the students for their bright career and future. On the occasion the students tied Rakhi to Hon’ble Governor.
