Honorable Governor of Sikkim  Shri Ganga Prasad today  visited Rhenock and adjoining areas. He is on two days visit to Rhenock constituency.  On arrival at Rhenock Baazar, he was given grand reception by the Area MLA Shri B K Khatiwada, Subdivisional Officials, residents of Rhenock,  business communities and local folks in a ceremonial way. As first engagement of the day, Honorable Governor visited Rhenock CHC and took stock of the facilities available.  He also visited the wards and interacted with the patients.  In order to cater to the growing population in the area, Honorable Governor stressed on the up gradation of Hospital and manpower for better health services.

Honorable Governor then proceeded to Rhenock Sr.Sec. School where he had interactive session with students. He invoked the students to aim higher in life and remain consistent in their pursuit and hard work.

Later on the day, Honorable Governor had interactive session with Gram Panchayats, Business Communities,  Officials and representatives of NHIDCL,  centered around the concerns,   local issues and public grievances at forest guest house.

On his way to Aritar, Honorable Governor also visited Gauri Narayan Pradhan  village farm at Kingston  and had one to one meeting with farmers and local residents.  He also had first hand information on vertical farming,  terraced cultivation and other innovative techniques of organic farming on the occasion. 

The first day tour concluded at Aritar where he was again accorded ceremonial welcome and guard of honour by the local police.
