MESSAGE


    On the occasion of Ramnawami (Chaite Dasai) the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Ganga Prasad has extended warm greetings to the people of Sikkim. The Hon’ble Governor has advised the people of Sikkim to avoid Ramnawami celebration in crowds and adopt precautionary measures against novel Coronavirus amid a surge of Covid-19 cases in different parts of the country.
    In his message the Hon’ble Governor said, “Ram Navami is the symbol of good conduct. It is one of the major festivals of our country. We celebrate the birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram on this day. This sacred day symbolizes the unity of mankind and brotherhood besides moral and spiritual values preached by lord Rama. Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama may be our guide to lead a life of Dharma, Love and Truth. People remember lord Ram for his discipline, restrained conduct and moral-based governance.”
    The Hon’ble Governor urged everyone to follow absolute hygiene and take precautionary measures while enjoying the festival. He assured that the State government has put up all preventive mechanisms in border check posts including Rapid Antigen Test for tourists entering Sikkim.  
     The Hon’ble Governor has wished for happiness and prosperity to the people of Sikkim.
