Little Pixies International School

Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil today at Ashirvad Bhavan, granted audience to a group of 43 students and four teachers from Little Pixies International School, Gangtok. The group visit was led by Principal Mrs. Rita Agarwal as a part of their Excursion and meeting with prominent personalities,a component of their mandatory school activities.


Mrs. Agarwal, while providing a brief background of school, also outlined the vision and objective of the school affiliated with CBSE. The students also presented colourful cultural items and interacted with Hon’ble Governor.


Hon’ble Governor expressed his happiness on meeting the bright and young minds of the State with immense potential. He stated that Sikkim possesses most talented young minds in the country and if groomed with proper care and orientation, have the ability to bring about transformation in the society for good.


He stressed on the need to inculcate entrepreneurial and industrious attitude among students since early age so that they grow up to become independent and self reliant citizens of the country. Stating that the students of Sikkim have very good command in English language, a definite advantage over the students of other states, Hon’ble Governor urged them to make best possible use of their strength and potential for higher education and other career oriented activities. Hon’ble Governor also urged the students to keep Sikkimese ethos and identity intact as they grow up to be the responsible citizen of the State.
