Location

          In the lap of the green forests of Rhododendron, Magnolia and Pine trees decorated with the different species of orchids, Raj Bhavan is located in a walk-able distance from Gangtok.  Main range of our guardian deity Mt. Kanchandzonga (8586 Mtrs) with the other peaks like Mt. Kumbhakarna, Mount Rathong and Kokthang, Mount Kabru etc., can be viewed in a clean weather.  During winter season temperature remains between  -1°C to 5°C, whereas during summer it remains very pleasant.  But during rainy season, a thick layer of fog covers the whole area with the drizzling for even a week continuously.

           Chirping of the birds right from the dawn to dusk and away from the noise and other pollution of town it is a very ideal place for thinkers and policy makers.

          Raj Bhavan is located in a quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape near Gangtok.
