Dear citizens,
On this Labour Day, we come together to celebrate the contributions and hard work of the working people in our state. Today, we recognize the tireless efforts of those who build, produce, and serve, and who keep our economy and society running smoothly.
As we look back on the past year, we can see the tremendous challenges that the pandemic has posed to workers across our state. We honour the sacrifices made by frontline workers, essential workers, and all those who have worked to keep our communities safe and healthy.
At the same time, we must also look forward to the future, and continue to support and advocate for workers” rights and fair labour practices. We must ensure that everyone has access to good jobs, fair wages, and safe working conditions, and that all workers are treated with dignity and respect.
On this Labour Day, let us renew our commitment to building a better, more equitable future for all workers in our state. Thank you, and Happy Labour Day.

श्रम दिवस के अवसर पर, मैं सिक्किम के लोगों विशेषकर श्रमिक बंधुओं को हार्दिक बधाई देता हूँ। यह दिन हमारे कर्मशील श्रमिक भाइयों का सम्मान करने और उनके योगदान को समझने का दिन है।
श्रमिक भाई हमारी अर्थव्यवस्था की आधारशिला हैं और उनके योगदान के बिना हमारा देश आगे नहीं बढ़ सकता है।इस महान दिन पर समर्पित श्रमिक बंधुओं के योगदान का स्मरण करते हुए, मैं सभी सिक्किम वासियों से अपील करता हूँ कि हम सभी उनके संघर्ष और त्याग के प्रति सम्मान व्यक्त करें और उन्हें समर्थन दें। श्रमिकों को उनके हकों का पूरा अधिकार मिलना चाहिए और हमें उनकी सुरक्षा और सुविधाएं सुनिश्चित करनी चाहिए।
आइए, हम सब मिलकर अपने श्रमिक भाइयों का सम्मान करते हुए एक बेहतर और उत्थानशील समाज का निर्माण करेंगे।
