"Governor in Village" The Honorable Governor of Sikkim Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya sets off for his three days tour to the district of Namchi.

The Honorable Governor marks his first visit to the south with his first stop at Sikkim”s most prestigious and world-famous Temi Tea estate.

The Honorable Governor observed the process of making tea leaves, where he witnesses the various stages involved in the production of tea and notes the usage of modern technology in the tea factory, which helps to maintain the quality and consistency of tea.

He also interacted with the workers of the tea estate and learned about the daily work routine of the workers.

Further, he commended the workers for Temi tea”s delicate and floral flavour, with hints of honey and citrus, favourite among tea connoisseurs and is often referred to as the "queen of teas" solely owing its success to the workers who are the spine of the Temi tea estate nestled in the laps of beautiful and most scenic Kanchendzonga with seasonal cherry blossoms.
