01.01.2025 : Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur extends New Year greetings 2026
The Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of New Year 2026.
In his message, he said, “I convey my warmest wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year to all the citizens of Sikkim. May the new year brings fresh hopes, opportunities and aspirations to all my fellow citizens.
Let us begin 2026 with renewed vigour and firm resolve, keeping in sight the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Together, let us work with dedication to take Sikkim and the Nation to greater heights of development and prosperity.
I urge my fellow Sikkimese to commit themselves to securing a bright future through both individual effort and collective endeavour. May we continue to strengthen social harmony, preserve our rich cultural heritage, and contribute to the progress of our beloved State.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने नव वर्ष 2026 के अवसर पर राज्यवासियों को अपनी शुभकामनाएँ दी हैं।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “नव वर्ष 2026 के शुभ अवसर पर मैं आप सभी को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ प्रेषित करता हूँ।
सिक्किम की विशिष्ट पहचान प्राकृतिक सुंदरता, सांस्कृतिक विविधता और सामूहिक सद्भाव में निहित है। इस नव वर्ष पर हम सब संकल्प लें कि हम अपनी परंपराओं और मूल्यों को संजोते हुए विकास की नई ऊँचाइयों को प्राप्त करें।
आज जब भारत विकसित राष्ट्र बनने की दिशा में दृढ़ संकल्पित है, आइए इस नववर्ष को राष्ट्रनिर्माण की नई ऊर्जा और सामूहिक प्रयासों के साथ प्रारंभ करें।
सिक्किम ने विगत वर्ष भारतीय संघ में अपनी गौरवशाली 50 वर्ष की यात्रा पूर्ण की है। इन पाँच दशकों में सिक्किम ने अपनी अद्वितीय सांस्कृतिक धरोहर, पर्यावरणीय चेतना और सामाजिक एकता को सुरक्षित रखते हुए राष्ट्र की प्रगति में उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिया है।
मुझे विश्वास है कि आप सभी के सहयोग और परिश्रम से सिक्किम तथा भारत आने वाले समय में और अधिक प्रगतिशील, सशक्त और आत्मनिर्भर बनेगा और विकसित भारत @2047 के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करेगा।
आइए, हम सब मिलकर 2026 को आशा, विश्वास और उपलब्धियों का वर्ष बनाएं।
