The Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today.
During the call on, she extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Governor to grace the State-level celebration of International Women’s Day, scheduled to be held at Saramsa Garden on March 8, 2025.
The Hon’ble Governor graciously accepted the invitation and conveyed his best wishes for the successful conduct of the event. Furthermore, he stated that such celebrations provide a valuable platform to honour the contributions of women across all sectors of society.
This year, the State-level International Women’s Day celebration is being organized under the banner of Sikkim Inspires, by the Planning and Development Department, Government of Sikkim.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker was accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Gangtok Municipal Corporation, Smt. Tshering Palden, and the Secretary of the Planning and Development Department, Government of Sikkim.
सिक्किम विधान सभा की माननीया उपाध्यक्ष ने की माननीय राज्यपाल से शिष्टाचार भेंट और अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर दिया निमंत्रण
आज राजभवन में सिक्किम विधान सभा की उपाध्यक्ष, माननीया श्रीमती राजकुमारी थापा ने माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने 8 मार्च 2025 को आयोजित होने वाले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस समारोह में शामिल होने का निमंत्रण दिया।इस दौरान गंगटोक नगरपालिका निगम की डेप्युटी मेयर,छीरिंग पाल्डेन भूटिया,सचिव योजना एवं विकास विभाग, एवं अतिरिक्त सचिव उपस्थित रहे।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने निमंत्रण को स्वीकारते हुए कार्यक्रम में अपनी सहभागिता पर स्वीकृति दी। उन्होंने समारोह को महत्वपूर्ण बताते हुए कहा कि इस प्रकार के आयोजन समाज के हर क्षेत्र में महिलाओं के योगदान को सम्मान प्रदान करने का मंच प्रदान करते हैं।
इस वर्ष अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस राज्य स्तरीय तौर पर सिक्किम इंस्पायर्स के अंतर्गत योजना एवं विकास विभाग, सिक्किम सरकार के तत्वावधान में सरमसा गार्डन, रानीपूल में आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसमें राज्य के हर कोने से महिलाएं भाग लेंगी।
