    Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur virtually joined from Lok Bhavan Sikkim for the launch of the nationwide “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan”

    The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi today launched the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan”, marking the start of a sustained 100-week nationwide Jan Bhagidari campaign against substance abuse.

    The programme was attended by Minister of Education department, Shri Raju Basnet, Commissioner cum Secretary Lok Bhavan, Jitendra Singh Raje, Secretary of Education Department (Higher Education), Ms. Kincho Doma Lepcha and the Secretary of Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Divyangjan Welfare department, Ms. Sarika Pradhan, officials, teachers, students, National Service Scheme volunteers and MY Bharat volunteers.

    During the programme, the Governor administered the pledge to stay away from drugs and resolved to spread the message of a drug-free society in their schools, colleges and communities, adding that the resolve taken today would continue to move forward over the next 100 weeks.
