The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, conducted a brief inspection of the Indreni Bridge at Singtam in view of the rising water levels in the area.

During the visit, the Hon’ble Governor interacted with members of the Singtam Nagar Panchayat, officials from the concerned departments, and the general public to understand the situation on the ground.

Additionally, the Hon’ble Governor urged the local residents in and around the Singtam area to remain vigilant and advised the concerned departments to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the people.

Commissioner cum Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje, and other officials from Raj Bhavan were also present with the Hon’ble Governor.

सिक्किम में लगातार वर्षा के कारण हो रहे भूस्खलन और तीस्ता नदी के बढ़ते जलस्तर का निरीक्षण करने के लिए आज सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने सिंगताम क्षेत्र का दौरा किया।
इस दौरान माननीय राज्यपाल ने स्थानीय प्रशासन से राहत कार्यों की समीक्षा की और आपदा प्रबंधन योजनाओं को प्रभावी रूप से लागू करने के निर्देश दिए।

इसके अलावा, राज्यपाल महोदय ने सिंगताम क्षेत्र के आसपास के स्थानीय लोगों को सतर्कता बरतने पर जोर दिया और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए विभागों को आवश्यक कदम उठाने का निर्देश दिया।
निरीक्षण के दौरान राज्यपाल महोदय ने स्थानीय नागरिकों से भी बातचीत की। इस अवसर पर प्रशासनिक अधिकारी, पुलिस विभाग और आपदा प्रबंधन दल एवं स्थानीय लोगों की उपस्थित रही।
