03.09.2025 : The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of SRM University, Sikkim, Cdr. (Dr.) Gurdaman L. Sharma, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim at Raj Bhavan, Gangtok today.

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Shri Ramasamy Memorial University (SRM University) Sikkim, Cdr. (Dr.) Gurdaman L. Sharma, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan, Gangtok today.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble Governor congratulated Dr. Sharma on his new appointment and conveyed his best wishes for a successful and innovation-driven tenure.

The Hon’ble Governor expressed confidence that under Dr. Sharma’s leadership, the university would achieve new milestones in academic excellence, research, and innovation. He also urged the Vice Chancellor to put more effort on the Skill Development and Vocational Education sectors as well.

During the call on, the Vice Chancellor apprised the Hon’ble Governor about the present functioning of the university and the various initiatives and programmes.

एसआरएम विश्वविद्यालय, सिक्किम के नव नियुक्त कुलपति कमांडर (डॉ.) गुरदमन शर्मा ने आज राजभवन, गंगटोक में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओमप्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

माननीय राज्यपाल ने डॉ. शर्मा को उनके नए दायित्व के लिए हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ दीं और उनके कार्यकाल को सफल एवं नवाचारपूर्ण होने की कामना की।

इस दौरान कुलपति डॉ. शर्मा ने राज्यपाल महोदय को विश्वविद्यालय की भावी योजनाओं और पहलों से अवगत कराते हुए आश्वासन दिया कि वे विश्वविद्यालय की प्रगति, नवाचार और समग्र विकास के लिए पूर्ण निष्ठा से कार्य करेंगे।
