04.01.2026 : A spiritual guru and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Irrigation, Government of Uttarakhand, Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Sikkim at Lok Bhavan today.

A spiritual guru and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Irrigation, Government of Uttarakhand, Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan today.

During the courtesy meeting, Satpal Maharaj extended New Year greetings to the Governor and he reciprocated the greetings and wished the Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj happiness and well-being.
During the meeting, both engaged in an in-depth discussion on various
various initiatives being taken by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department.
They also shared their views on the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty etc of Sikkim and Uttarakhand and emphasised the need for cooperation and collaboration for the promotion of the tourism sector in both Himalayan states.
Shri Satpal Maharaj is on a three day visit to Sikkim.

आज लोकभवन, सिक्किम में माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से आध्यात्मिक गुरु एवं उत्तराखंड सरकार के पर्यटन, संस्कृति एवं सिंचाई मंत्री श्री सतपाल जी महाराज ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

इस अवसर पर सिक्किम और उत्तराखंड दोनों हिमालयी राज्यों की विशिष्ट सांस्कृतिक विरासत, प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य तथा पर्यटन संबंधी विषयों पर सार्थक चर्चा हुई।
