    In a historic moment, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, marked a significant stride in healthcare by inaugurating the Jan Aushadi Kendra at STNM and inpatient facilities at the 10-bedded Ayush Hospital within STNM Hospital. Furthermore, he virtually launched a 10-bedded Tele ICU at District Hospitals & STNM, further enhancing comprehensive healthcare access for the residents of the state.

    The Hon’ble Governor inspected the medicines at the Jan Aushadi Kendra, and at the Ayush hospital, he interacted with the patients admitted there, gaining valuable insights into their healthcare experiences.

    Addressing the gathered audience, the Hon’ble Governor, highlighted the state’s natural beauty and cultural diversity while unveiling transformative healthcare initiatives.

    He marked a significant milestone in the healthcare sector with the inauguration of several key facilities, including a Jan Aushadhi Kendra, a 10-bed AYUSH Hospital, and a cutting-edge 10-bed ICU equipped with teleconsultation services. These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare accessibility, reduce the burden on patients and families, and signify Sikkim’s commitment to a healthier future.

    Highlighting the state’s commitment to advanced medical services, the Hon’ble Governor commended the establishment of the Department of Neurosurgery and the appointment of heart surgeons within the state. Previously, these specialized facilities were not accessible locally, necessitating patients to seek treatment in other states. With the introduction of these departments in the healthcare sector, the people of Sikkim now enjoy improved and convenient health facilities within the state.

    He lauded the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, specifically praising the expansion of the AYUSH sector. This initiative not only promotes holistic healing but also positions Sikkim as a promising destination for health tourism.

    The Hon’ble Governor also recognized the collaborative efforts with organizations like HDFC Bank.

    These advancements align with the broader vision of a Developed India by 2047, and he encouraged all citizens to contribute actively as Sikkim strides towards a healthier and more prosperous future. As the state embraces these healthcare triumphs, the initiatives unveiled today seek to bring joy and well-being to the lives of every Sikkimese citizen.

    The Hon’ble Governor was warmly received with khadas and bouquets. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of lamps.
    Additionally, the Hon’ble Governor felicitated STNM Hospital for providing critical care training to District Hospitals, Namchi and Gyalshing District Hospitals for their dedication to admitting patients to their ICUs. Special recognition was extended to HDFC Bank for sponsoring ICU Wards in two districts.

    The program also featured the screening of the Sikkim Launch Video, highlighting the 10BedICU Project. Shri Srikanth Nadhamuni, Founder of CTO Aadhaar & Chairman of 10Bed ICU, presented an insightful overview of the project.

    Further, a live Tele ICU demonstration showcased consultations with Dr Gyamtso Bhutia (STNM Hub) and Dr Ashim Basnett (Namchi DH), providing a firsthand glimpse into the innovative healthcare solutions introduced during the event.
