The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, commended the efforts of the Energy and Power Department in resolving power issues in the Thangu area during his recent visit to North Sikkim.

Hon’ble Governor became aware of the irregular power supply in Thangu and sought information from the District Administration, directing them to expedite their efforts. Following this, the concerned department accelerated its operations, successfully restoring electricity to the residents and army personnel stationed there.

The power supply now has been restored, providing relief to both the Indian Army and the local populace. The Hon’ble Governor expressed his satisfaction, stating, “The Energy and Power Department has done commendable work in restoring power supply in Thangu despite the difficulties posed by GLOF. Your efforts have brought great relief to the Indian Army and residents.”

During his visit, the Hon’ble Governor also inspected flood-damaged areas and interacted with residents and members of the Indian Army. Despite several challenges faced in the border region, the Power and Energy Department completed its work, restoring power and providing relief to the local community and the stationed army, who expressed immense gratitude to the Hon’ble Governor for his unwavering support to Sikkim and its people.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने उत्तर सिक्किम के दौरे के अंतर्गत थांगू क्षेत्र में बिजली समस्या के समाधान के लिए विद्युत विभाग के प्रयासों की सराहना की।

हाल ही में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर उत्तर सिक्किम दौरे पर थे। इसी कड़ी में,थांगू क्षेत्र में बिजली की अनियमितता उनके संज्ञान में आई जिसके लिए उन्होंने जिला प्रशासन से जानकारी लेते हुए बातचीत की और कार्य गति में तेजी लाने की ओर दिशा निर्देश दिए।
इसके बाद विद्युत विभाग ने अपने कार्य गति में पूर्व से और अधिक तेजी लाते हुए सफलता पूर्वक बिज़ली को स्थानीय व सैनिकों तक पहुंचाया है । के दौरे के बाद, विभाग ने और अधिक उत्साह के साथ इस समस्या के समाधान की दिशा में कार्य किया।
इसके परिणामस्वरूप बिजली की आपूर्ति बहाल हो पाई और भारतीय सेना और स्थानीय निवासियों को राहत मिली है।

राज्यपाल महोदय ने इस पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा है कि, “विद्युत विभाग की टीम ने बाढ़ के बाद उत्पन्न कठिनाइयों के बावजूद थांगू में बिजली आपूर्ति को बहाल करने में सराहनीय कार्य किया है। आपके प्रयासों से भारतीय सेना और स्थानीय निवासियों को बड़ी राहत मिली है।”

इस दौरे के दौरान, राज्यपाल महोदय ने बाढ़ से हुए नुकसान का निरीक्षण किया और स्थानीय निवासियों तथा भारतीय सेना से बातचीत की। राज्यपाल महोदय के भ्रमण के बाद, विद्युत विभाग ने सीमावर्ती क्षेत्र में बिजली की आपूर्ति को बहाल करने में उल्लेखनीय सफलता प्राप्त की।

विद्युत विभाग ने सीमावर्ती क्षेत्र में आई कई कठिनाई के बावजूद अपने कार्य को सफलतापूर्वक अंजाम दिया है और बिजली बहाल स्थानीय निवासियों और सेना को राहत दिलाई है जिससे उन्होंने अपने संतोष और हर्ष के भाव प्रकट करते हुए माननीय राज्यपाल को आभार प्रकट किया है।
