04.11.2026 : Shri Raj Yadav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department and CEO paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim at Lok Bhavan today.
Shri Raj Yadav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department and Chief Electoral Officer paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Dushyant Gautam at Lok Bhavan today.
During the meeting, Shri Yadav extended his warm greetings to the Hon’ble Governor on the occasion of Diwali festival. He appraised the Hon’ble Governor in detail about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in the state.
He also mentioned various activities and initiatives undertaken by the Tourism Department to boost tourism industry and informed about the connectivity, upcoming various tourism related events including Cherry Blossom Festival 2026 scheduled to be held from14 to 28 November of this month at Temi in Namchi district.
The Hon’ble Governor enquired about various tourism related initiatives in the State, particularly the homestay and said that Sikkim has immense potential for tourism and emphasised the need to further explore and promote Sikim’s diverse tourism opportunities.

पर्यटन एवं नागरिक उड्डयन विभाग सह मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी आयुक्त-सह-सचिव श्री राज यादव ने आज लोकभवन में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री दुष्यन्त गौतम से शिष्टाचार मुलाकात की।
मुलाकात के दौरान श्री राज यादव ने माननीय राज्यपाल को सिक्किम का राज्यपाल नियुक्त किए जाने पर बधाई व शुभकामनाएं दीं और दीपावली पर्व की हार्दिक बधाई दी।
इस दौरान आयुक्त-सह-सचिव ने माननीय राज्यपाल को विशेष रूप से राज्य में SIR की प्रक्रिया पर विस्तार से जानकारी दी इसके अतिरिक्त राज्य के पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा संचालित विभिन्न गतिविधियों से भी अवगत कराया । उन्होंने सड़क, रेल और हवाई कनेक्टिविटी की वर्तमान स्थिति के साथ-साथ आगामी ‘चेरी ब्लॉसम फेस्टिवल’ की तैयारियों और राज्य में मनाए जाने वाले अन्य कार्यक्रमों के बारे में विस्तार से अवगत कराया।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने राज्य की पर्यटन गतिविधियों, विशेषकर होम-स्टे व्यवस्था के बारे में जानकारी ली। माननीय राज्यपाल सिक्किम को ने सिक्किम को पर्यटन के क्षेत्र में असीम संभावनाओं का राज्य बताया है।
