04.11.2026 : The Vice-Chancellor of Khangchendzonga State University (KSU), Dr. Ashish Sharma called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Dushyant Gautam at Lok Bhavan today.

The Vice-Chancellor of Khangchendzonga State University (KSU), Dr. Ashish Sharma along with Registrar, Finance Officer and Controller of Examinations called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Dushyant Gautam at Lok Bhavan today.

The Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sharma apprised the Hon’ble Governor about the academic programmes including the functioning of its Department of Languages. He further informed about the progress of the ongoing construction work at the university’s upcoming campus at Temi Tarku in Namchi district.

Emphasising the significance of education, the Hon’ble Governor stated
that universities have a great role to play in nation-building and contribute significantly to shaping the future of society.

कंचनजंगा सिक्किम राज्य विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलपति डॉ. आशीष शर्मा ने विश्वविद्यालय के कुलसचिव, वित्त अधिकारी और परीक्षा नियंत्रक के साथ आज लोकभवन में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री दुष्यन्त गौतम से शिष्टाचार मुलाकात की।

प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने माननीय राज्यपाल का विश्वविद्यालय की ओर से स्वागत करते हुए अभिनंदन किया।
इस दौरान कुलपति ने माननीय राज्यपाल महोदय को विश्वविद्यालय की वर्तमान शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों तथा विश्वविद्यालय में संचालित भाषा संकाय के संबंध में विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की। इसके साथ ही तेमी स्थित निर्माणाधीन विश्वविद्यालय परिसर के प्रगति कार्य से भी उन्हें अवगत कराया गया।

इस अवसर पर माननीय राज्यपाल ने शिक्षा के महत्व पर बल देते हुए कहा कि राष्ट्र निर्माण में विश्वविद्यालय की भूमिका अत्यंत अहम होती है।
