05.02.2026 : The area MLA of Zoom- Salghari constituency, Shri Madan Cintury extended a formal invitation to the Governor to grace the 71st edition of Maghey Sankranti Mela 2026.

The area MLA of Zoom- Salghari constituency, Shri Madan Cintury, who is also the Chief Patron of the Maghey Sankranti Mela Committee, Jorethang extended a formal invitation to the Governor, Shri Om Prakash Mathur to grace the 71st edition of Maghey Sankranti Mela 2026 as the chief guest.

The 71st Maghey Sankranti Mela 2026 is scheduled to be commenced from 14 January of this month at Jorethang which will conclude on 22nd January.

The Maghey Sankranti Mela will showcase the rich culture, traditions, cuisine and heritage of Sikkim and it highlights the Sikkim’s vibrant cultural legacy. This Maghey Mela also stand as unity in cultural diversity of Sikkim.

जोरथांग, नया बाज़ार, नामची ज़िला में 14 जनवरी से 22 जनवरी 2026 तक आयोजित होने वाला यह आयोजन सिक्किम की संस्कृति, विरासत और प्रगति के एकहत्तर गौरवशाली वर्षों का उत्सव है तथा राज्य की सामाजिक एकता और सांस्कृतिक विविधता का प्रतीक है।
