    08.03.2024 : Hon’ble Governor visited Shri Sathya Sai Seva Mandir on the occasion of Maha Shiv Ratri.

    On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shiv Ratri, the Hon’ble Governor, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, visited the Shri Sathya Sai Seva Mandir at Vajra, where he offered his prayers and sought blessings from Sri Sathya Sai Baba for the peace & prosperity of Sikkim.

    Addressing the devotees, the Hon’ble Governor reflected upon his morning seminar on Buddhist teachings at Tibetology and his lineage from Kashi, the sacred city, he reminisced about Sarnath, which enriched his morning with insights. He expressed his belief that Sikkim has assumed a spiritual significance akin to Kashi today.

    The Hon’ble Governor underscored the profound challenge of selflessness on this spiritual journey, drawing parallels from the teachings of great masters. He invoked the analogy of trees bearing fruits for others and rivers quenching the thirst of many without a thought for themselves. He emphasized the noble qualities of those who work for the welfare of others, invoking divine blessings for all to become capable instruments for the greater good.

    The Hon’ble Governor emphasized that India, being a cultured land, draws strength from working towards the peace and prosperity of society.

    The Hon’ble Governor, participated in the bhajan ceremony, symbolizing unity and devotion. Additionally, he also handed over the key of an ambulance to Sri Sathya Samiti.

    Present at the event were Gangtok MLA Shri Y T Lepcpa, Shri Sudip Pradhan, Independent Director of Numaligarh Refinery Ltd under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, and the Advisor (Sikkim) of the Confederation of Indian Industries, along with students and devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Baba Samiti.
