The Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan implemented the project with an cost of ₹15.50 crore. The Phutiya Minor Irrigation project includes the renovation and the raising work of the dam.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and lauded the efforts of the Rajasthan government for irrigation project.
The Governor said “The irrigation project will provide massive benefits to the people of the region and it will ensure assured irrigation for the farmers, boosting agricultural productivity and farmers’ income”.
He underlined the importance of water security for the overall development of the region and the State at large.
Under this new project, the storage capacity of the dam will increase to 120 MCFT and its catchment area will expand to approximately 710 hectares.
The programme was attended by Shri Madan Rathore, Rajya Sabha member, Shri P. P. Chaudhary, Lok Sabha member from Pali constituency, Shri Suresh Singh Rawat, Minister for Water Resources Rajasthan government, Shri Pushpendra Singh Ranawat, MLA of Bali of assembly constituency and other dignitaries.
सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर की अध्यक्षता में आज राजस्थान सरकार के जल संसाधन विभाग द्वारा पाली जिले की बाली विधानसभा क्षेत्र में स्थित फुटिया बांध पर ‘फुटिया लघु सिंचाई परियोजना’ के जीर्णोद्धार एवं रेजिंग कार्य का शिलान्यास समारोह आयोजित किया गया।
इस अवसर पर माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा कि फुटिया माइनर सिंचाई परियोजना का नवीनीकरण एवं रेजिंग कार्य ग्रामीण विकास और जल प्रबंधन की दृष्टि से अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। उन्होंने राजस्थान सरकार के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री भजन लाल शर्मा का विशेष आभार देते हुए कहा कि यह परियोजना क्षेत्रीय किसानों के लिए अत्यंत लाभकारी सिद्ध होगी, जिससे सिंचाई क्षमता में वृद्धि होगी और कृषि उत्पादन को नई दिशा मिलेगी।
यह परियोजना वर्ष 2024-25 के बजट घोषणा के अंतर्गत ₹15.50 करोड़ की स्वीकृत राशि से सम्पन्न की जा रही है।
इस योजना से बांध की भराव क्षमता 120 MCFT तक बढ़ेगी तथा इसका जलग्रह क्षेत्र 710 हैक्टर तक विस्तारित होगा।
समारोह में राज्यसभा सांसद एवं प्रदेश अध्यक्ष भाजपा श्री मदन राठौर, मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे।
विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में श्री सुरेश सिंह रावत, जल संसाधन विभाग के कैबिनेट मंत्री, राजस्थान सरकार, श्री पी.पी. चौधरी, सांसद पाली, तथा विधायक बाली श्री पुष्पेन्द्र सिंह जी राणावत ने भी अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराई।
