Sikkim Lok Sabha member, Dr. Indra Hang Subba paid a courtesy call on the the Sikkim Governor, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan today.

During the meeting, the Lok Sabha member apprised the Governor about ongoing railway project and road connectivity including National Highway 10 and discussed various development projects in the State.

Dr. Indra Hang Subba has raised the long-pending issue of seat reservation for the Limboo and Tamang communities of Sikkim in Legislative Assembly and the inclusion of 12 left out communities of Sikkim in the Scheduled Tribes list.

The discussion further focused on road connectivity and challenges faced in North Sikkim due to frequent disruptions along the highway, which affect both residents and tourism.

The Governor patiently listened the issues brought to him and assured that he would take the matter to the centre government.

आज लोकभवन, सिक्किम में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से लोक सभा सांसद डॉ. इंद्र हांग सुब्बा जी ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

बैठक में सांसद महोदय ने राज्य में केंद्र सरकार द्वारा संचालित सड़क एवं रेल कनेक्टिविटी परियोजनाओं की प्रगति की विस्तृत जानकारी दी। उन्होंने विशेष रूप से एनएच-10 पर चर्चा की।
इस दौरान सांसद महोदय ने उत्तर सिक्किम में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग से जुड़ी समस्याओं पर विस्तार से चर्चा की और इन क्षेत्रों में बेहतर तथा वैकल्पिक कनेक्टिविटी की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।

सांसद डॉ. सुब्बा ने सिक्किम विधानसभा में लिम्बू-तमांग (LT) सीट आरक्षण के लंबित मुद्दे तथा 12 लेफ्ट आउट कम्यूनिटी के बारे में भी राज्यपाल महोदय को अवगत कराया।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने सांसद महोदय द्वारा उठाए गए सभी मुद्दों को ध्यानपूर्वक सुना और इन मुद्दों को केंद्र सरकार तक प्रभावी ढंग से रखने का आश्वासन दिया।
