49वीं जूनियर नेशनल बैडमिंटन चैंपियनशिप के लिए दिया मुख्य अतिथि का आमंत्रण

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से आज लोकभवन में “बैडमिंटन एसोसिएशन ऑफ सिक्किम” के अध्यक्ष श्री जैकब खालिंग और गंगटोक नगर निगम की मेयर श्रीमती छिरिंग पाल्देन भूटिया सहित प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
इस प्रतिनिधिमंडल में एसोसिएशन के कार्यकारी सदस्य भी शामिल रहे।
इस बैठक के दौरान, प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने माननीय राज्यपाल को आगामी नवंबर माह में आयोजित होने वाली 49वीं योनेक्स-सनराइज जूनियर नेशनल बैडमिंटन चैंपियनशिप (Under-19) में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में सम्मिलित होने के लिए औपचारिक रूप से आमंत्रित किया।

यह आयोजन राज्य में पहली बार आयोजित हो रहा है जहाँ राष्ट्रीय स्तर की बैडमिंटन प्रतियोगिता की मेजबानी सिक्किम राज्य कर रहा है।

माननीय राज्यपाल ने इस राष्ट्रीय चैंपियनशिप की मेजबानी के सफल आयोजन के लिए अपनी शुभकामनाएं दी।

The executive members of Sikkim Badminton Association (SBA) led by president, Shri Jacob Khaling called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan today.

During the courtesy meeting, SBA extended a formal invitation to the Governor to grace the 49th Inter-State, Inter-Zonal and Junior National Badminton Championships 2026. The tournament is scheduled to be held from November 14 to 21 at the Indoor Hall, Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.

They informed the Governor that for the first time the State will host the prestigious national-level junior badminton championship. The Badminton Association of Sikkim under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India, the tournament will feature Boys’ Singles, Girls’ Singles, Boys’ Doubles, Girls’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles in the Under-19 age category.

The Governor conveyed his best wishes to the SBA for successful conduct of the tournament.
