The sacred bond of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at Raj Bhavan today, wherein the daughters of Raj Bhavan employees and ITBP personnel tied Rakhi to the Hon’ble Governor.

The Hon’ble Governor extended his warm greetings on the sacred occasion of Raksha Bandhan to everyone present, and said “May this festival strengthen not only the sacred bond between siblings but also enhance the bond among all communities of our society. Let us always keep these bonds strong and cherish these wonderful moments.”

Further, the Hon’ble Governor mentioned that Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival but a cultural tradition that must be upheld, honoured, and respected.

राजभवन,सिक्किम में मनाया गया रक्षाबंधन का त्योहार

आज प्रातः राजभवन, सिक्किम में रक्षाबंधन के पावन अवसर पर एक गरिमामय समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर राजभवन परिवार की नन्हीं बालिकाओं एवं भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी) की महिला बटालियन की सदस्यों (हिम वीरांगना) ने माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर को राखी बाँधकर उनके प्रति स्नेह एवं सम्मान की भावना को प्रस्तुत किया।

समारोह में पारंपरिक रीति-रिवाजों के साथ रक्षाबंधन का पर्व मनाया गया।

माननीय राज्यपाल महोदय ने इस अवसर पर सभी को रक्षाबंधन की शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए कहा, “रक्षाबंधन केवल एक पर्व नहीं, बल्कि हमारी सांस्कृतिक विरासत का जीवंत प्रतीक है। यह भाई-बहन के पवित्र संबंध के साथ-साथ समाज में आपसी विश्वास, सुरक्षा और स्नेह की भावना को भी सुदृढ़ करता है।”

राज्यपाल महोदय ने बालिकाओं एवं महिला सुरक्षाकर्मियों के इस भावपूर्ण क्षण के लिए आभार व्यक्त करते हुए करते हुए उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की है।
