MESSAGE

The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya extends his warm greetings on the occasion of Kagyed Cham (Dance). In his message, he said:

Kagyed Cham is a traditional monastic mask dance (depicting peaceful and wrathful deities) in Sikkim, unveiling the Sikkimese New Year Losoong & Namsoong,. Linked with Losi Kurim, it aims to bring freedom from fear and suffering to those who witness it with faith, particularly during the transitional stage between death and rebirth known as Sipa Bardo.

On such occasion of the Annual Kagye Chham, the Gutor, I pray for happiness, good health, and abundance for all the citizens of Sikkim. Once again I extend my warm greetings and prayers to everyone on the occasion of Kagyed Cham.
