The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash, expressed deep sorrow following the crash of an Air India flight in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The flight, AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick was carrying 242 passengers and crew members and crashed shortly after take-off this afternoon.

The Hon’ble Governor said, ” Shocked and devastated upon learning of the tragedy. I am deeply saddened by this catastrophic accident. On behalf of the people of Sikkim, I extend my deepest condolences to the friends and family of those who died in this accident. My thoughts and prayers are with all those on board and their families. We stand in solidarity with the nation and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,”

शोक संदेश

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने आज अहमदाबाद में घटी विमान दुर्घटना पर अपना शोक व्यक्त किया है।

अपने शोक संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “अहमदाबाद में एयर इंडिया विमान दुर्घटना की हृदयविदारक खबर सुनकर अत्यंत व्यथित और स्तब्ध हूँ।
लंदन जाने वाले इस विमान की दुर्घटना से पूरा देश शोकग्रस्त है।मीडिया रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, विमान में 242 यात्री सवार थे, और हम सभी आगामी जानकारी का बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहे हैं।

इस कठिन घड़ी में, सिक्किम राज्य की ओर से हम सभी पीड़ितों और उनके परिवारों के साथ खड़े हैं।
मैं पीड़ित परिवारों के प्रति अपनी गहरी संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूँ और ईश्वर से प्रार्थना करता हूँ कि सभी प्रभावितों को ईश्वर शक्ति प्रदान करें।

हमारी प्रार्थनाएँ सभी यात्रियों और क्रू मेंबर्स के सदस्यों के साथ हैं।”
