The Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs department, Mrs. Yangchen Doma Tamang, along with other officials, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today.

During the meeting, the Secretary extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Governor to grace the inaugural ceremony of the 8th North East Youth Festival 2025, which is scheduled to start from March 17-20 March at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.

The Hon’ble Governor graciously accepted the invitation to attend the event and also extended his best wishes for the success of the festival.

This four-day event will witness hundreds of youths from the northeastern states, who will take part in various competitions. The festival will serve as a platform to showcase the talents of the youth from the Northeast and highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region.

आज सचिव, खेल और युवा मामले, श्रीमती यांगछेन डोमा तामांग ने सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपा श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से राजभवन में शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
इस बैठक के दौरान, श्रीमती तामांग ने माननीय राज्यपाल को 17 मार्च से 20 मार्च तक आयोजित होने वाले 8वें उत्तर-पूर्व युवा महोत्सव 2025 के उद्घाटन समारोह में शामिल होने का निमंत्रण दिया।

माननीय राज्यपाल ने इस आमंत्रण को स्वीकार किया है और अपनी सहमति प्रदान की है। माननीय राज्यपाल ने इस आयोजन की सफलता के लिए अपनी शुभकामनाएं भी दीं हैं।
इस चार दिवसीय कार्यक्रम में पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र के हजारों युवा शामिल होंगे जो कई प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेंगे।
यह मंच उत्तर-पूर्वी राज्यों की युवा प्रतिभाओं को एक मंच प्रदान करेगा और क्षेत्र की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को भी उजागर करेगा।
