The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.
In his message, the Governor stated:
“Sikkim is a land of festivals, and the Makar Sankranti festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy across every nook and corner of the state. This occasion also serves as a tribute to the relentless hard work of our farmers. It reminds us of the bountiful blessings of nature and symbolizes the promise of further growth and progress for the State of Sikkim.
These festivals embody the joy of sharing the new harvest with one’s family and community and are deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of the state. All communities in Sikkim come together to celebrate this festival with a spirit of mutual love, affection, and fraternity.
Such festivals make invaluable contributions to the geographical, cultural, and emotional unification of the state. I am confident that this festival will further strengthen the spirit of peaceful coexistence and unity while enhancing the prosperity and happiness of the people of Sikkim.”
सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने सिक्किम वासियों को मकर संक्रांति के अवसर पर हार्दिक बधाई दी है।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “मेरे प्यारे सिक्किम वासियों को मकर संक्रांति के पावन अवसर पर हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ और बधाई।
मकर संक्रांति हमारे देश और संस्कृति का एक महत्वपूर्ण त्योहार है, जो सूर्य के धनु राशि से मकर राशि में प्रवेश का प्रतीक है। यह दिन हमारे जीवन में नई ऊर्जा, सकारात्मकता और प्रकाश का संचार करता है।
यह दिन हमारे मेहनतकश किसान बंधुओं के अथक परिश्रम का सम्मान करने का भी दिन है।
इस अवसर पर मैं राज्य के सभी समुदाय से मिलकर आपसी प्रेम, सौहार्द और भाईचारे के साथ इस त्योहार को मनाने का आग्रह करता हूँ।
मकर संक्रांति का यह पर्व आप सभी के जीवन में खुशहाली, समृद्धि और शांति लेकर आए।
आइए, हम सब मिलकर इस पर्व को हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाएँ और, एकजुट होकर सुनौलो ,समर्थ अनि समृद्ध सिक्किम का निर्माण करें ।
