14.06.2025 : The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur called on the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Friday.

The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur called on the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Friday.
The Hon’ble Governor conveyed his good wishes to the Hon’ble Prime Minister on behalf of the people of Sikkim on the joyous occasion of the celebration of 50 years of Statehood. During this meeting, the Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Governor discussed various developmental activities and welfare programs pertaining to the State. The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Modi reaffirmed the centre government’s commitment to supporting the Himalayan state at all levels to create Sikkim a model State in the country.
In a brief meeting, he informed Shri Modi that different initiatives were taken by the State for permanent settlement of local residents in border villages and strengthening rural infrastructure under the Vibrant Village Programme.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने नई दिल्ली में माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस महत्वपूर्ण बैठक के दौरान, सिक्किम के विकास से जुड़े विभिन्न मुद्दों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई।

इसके अतिरिक्त, ‘वाइब्रेंट विलेज’ योजना के अंतर्गत सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों के समग्र विकास को लेकर भी महत्वपूर्ण बातचीत हुई।
