14.08.2025 : Prof. Santanu Kumar Swain, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Sikkim University paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur today at Raj Bhavan.

Prof. Santanu Kumar Swain, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Sikkim University paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur today at Raj Bhavan.

Prof. Swain had his first formal meeting with the Hon’ble Governor after assuming the office of Vice-Chancellor of the University.

The Hon’ble Governor congratulated Prof. Santanu on his appointment.

The Hon’ble Governor expressed confidence that the Sikkim University, under his guidance would scale new heights and further enhance its reputation.

In response, the Vice Chancellor assured that he will work with sincerity, and commitment to take the university to greater heights.

On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor presented the progress report of the under-construction permanent campus of Sikkim University at Yangang and outlined future plans for the development of the campus.

The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by his spouse, Registrar Prof. Laxuman Sharma and faculty Dr. Pradip Tripathi.
