In a historic undertaking led by the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, under the banner of “Hamro Sankalp: Viksit Bharat Pushpit Sikkim,” two days marked significant Healthcare Milestones at Raj Bhavan.

Guided by the Hon’ble Governor’s vision, Raj Bhavan hosted a two-day mega health camp. On the inaugural day of the mega health camp, the Hon’ble Governor inaugurated the event, featuring specialists in Ayush, Cardio, Skin, Eye, Psychology, Sowa Rigpa, and Pediatrics. The camp offered complimentary medicines to attendees, and the Hon’ble Governor personally engaged in check-ups with various doctors, connecting with patients to understand their well-being. This initiative underscores a commitment to providing comprehensive medical support to the community, aligning with the vision of a healthier society and contributing to the national goal of a developed India by 2047.

As the health camp continued on its second day at Raj Bhavan, the local community actively participated, benefiting from thorough check-ups by specialized medical professionals. Post-check-ups, attendees expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Governor for the camp’s facilitation, acknowledging the provision of complementary medicines and recognizing the positive impact on community health and well-being.

During a meaningful interaction, the Hon’ble Governor engaged with doctors, expressing, “As a state, we excel in various fields, and We must ensure that we don’t need to seek assistance from other states in the health sector. Collaboration is key, and alongside our thriving tourism, we should progress in other domains too. The presence of doctors here is a testament to democracy in action.”

The attending doctors conveyed their appreciation for the health camp organised by Raj Bhavan, highlighting its significant benefits for the public. They emphasized the convenience of having all specialists and medicines readily available in one place, making it immensely beneficial for patients to undergo comprehensive check-ups.
