15.06.2026 : The Chairman of the SICUN called on Governor today at Lok Bhavan and formally invited to grace the inaugural session of a National Cooperative Conference 2026 as the chief guest.

The Chairman of the Sikkim State Cooperative Union (SICUN), Dr. Mangaljit Rai called on Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur today at Lok Bhavan and formally invited to grace the inaugural session of a National Cooperative Conference 2026 as the chief guest.

A two day National Cooperative Conference is scheduled to be commenced on 25 June, 26 at
the Auditorium hall of SICUN, Assam Linzey under Pakyong District with the theme “Sahkar Se Samriddhi: Cooperative Driving Inclusive Growth, Innovation and Sustainable Development for Viksit Bharat”.

The Sikkim State Cooperative Union (SICUN) is hosting two day conference with the support from the Central Education Fund (CEF), Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, in collaboration with the Cooperation Department, Government of Sikkim.

The conference is being organised with an aims to bring together cooperative leaders, policy makers, academician, practitioner and stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on emerging opportunities, challenges and innovations in the cooperative sector.

Dr. Mangaljit Rai briefed the Governor that during the technical session of the conference would mainly focused on youth and entrepreneurship in cooperative, strengthening agricultural and farmer’s cooperative, dairy, livestock and allied sectors cooperatives and digital transformation and computerization of cooperatives.

The Governor accepted the invitation and extended his best wishes for the success of two day programme.

राज्य सहकारी संघ (SICUN) के अध्यक्ष डॉ. मंगलजीत राय ने आज लोक भवन में माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार मुलाकात की ।
इस दौरान श्री राई ने राष्ट्रीय सहकारी सम्मेलन 2026 में शामिल होने हेतु माननीय राज्यपाल को औपचारिक रूप से आमंत्रित किया।
“सहकार से समृद्धि: विकसित भारत के लिए समावेशी विकास, नवाचार और सतत विकास को बढ़ावा देती सहकारिता” थीम के साथ दो दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय सहकारी सम्मेलन 25 जून 26 से पाक्योंग जिले के असम लिन्ज़े स्थित SICUN के सम्मेलन कक्ष में शुरू होने जा रहा है।
सिक्किम राज्य सहकारी संघ (SICUN) इस दो दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन की मेजबानी कर रहा है, जिसका उद्देश्य सहकारी क्षेत्र में उभरते अवसरों, चुनौतियों और नवाचारों पर चर्चा करने के लिए देश भर के सहकारी संबंधित नीति निर्माताओं, शिक्षाविदों, चिकित्सकों और हितधारकों को एक मंच पर लाना है।

डॉ. मंगलजीत राई ने राज्यपाल महोदय को सम्मेलन की जानकारी देते हुए अवगत कराया कि सम्मेलन के तकनीकी सत्र का मुख्य ध्यान सहकारी समितियों में युवा और उद्यमिता, कृषि एवं किसान सहकारी समितियों को मजबूत करने, डेयरी, पशुधन और संबद्ध क्षेत्र की सहकारी समितियों के डिजिटल परिवर्तन और कम्प्यूटरीकरण पर केंद्रित होगा।

राज्यपाल महोदय ने निमंत्रण को स्वीकार करते हुए दो दिवसीय कार्यक्रम की सफलता के लिए अपनी शुभकामनाएं दीं हैं।
