Honorable Governor of Sikkim, Shri Laxman Prasad Acharya has expressed his best wishes to the entire Sikkimese people, especially the Limbu community, on the occasion of Chasok Tongnam festival.

Honorable Governor in his message said that Chasok Tongnam festival is a traditional festival of Limbu community which symbolizes offering of their first crop to the gods and goddesses. During this time, prayers are offered to the Gods and Goddesses for public welfare, happiness and prosperity and a good harvest for the next year.

Let us take this opportunity to promote communal harmony and brotherhood while preserving our unique tradition and culture.
