17.02.2024: Mega Blood Donation Camp at Raj Bhavan Sikkim under “Hamro Sankalp: Viksit Bharat Pushpit Sikkim” event.

In a significant milestone at Raj Bhavan, the event “Hamro Sankalp: Viksit Bharat Pushpit Sikkim” witnessed the inauguration of a mega blood donation camp by the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya.

The Hon’ble Governor highlighted the impactful sight of people queuing up with unwavering determination to donate blood. He emphasized that this collective effort is a testament to our journey towards a developed India by 2047. In times of need, both for society and the nation, individuals are generously contributing blood, underscoring the crucial support required.

Raj Bhavan extended a call to action for this initiative, witnessing a united front as people came together for a humanitarian and inspirational cause.

A remarkable turnout of 600 blood donors registered for the event, including the Indian armed forces, the general public, Raj Bhavan officers and staff, as well as students from schools and universities. The initiative received support from medical teams representing Singtam District Hospital, Namchi District Hospital, STNM, and Manipal Hospital.

Donors will be acknowledged with a commemorative batch and certificate as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for their generous contributions.
