The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, has extended his heartiest greetings and congratulations to all members of the Press Club of Sikkim (PCS) on its 23rd Foundation Day.
Congratulating PCS and its members, the Hon’ble Governor said, “I convey my heartiest congratulations to all members of the Press Club of Sikkim on the occasion of the 23rd Foundation Day.
As the Fourth Pillar of democracy, journalism is not just a medium of information, but also as a powerful medium for amplifying the voice of the people and upholding democratic values.
On this significant day, I commend the dedicated journalists of the Press Club of Sikkim who have rendered commendable service to society through their unwavering commitment to truth and ethical journalism.
I also extend my special congratulations to the recipients of the “Kanchenjunga Kalam Puraskar”, Shri Karma Paljor and “Lagansheel Yuva Patrakar Puraskar”, Shri Pema Wangchen Lama for their outstanding contributions.
I am confident that the Press Club of Sikkim will continue to uphold the ethical values of journalism and play a vital role in the progress of the state and the nation.”

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने प्रेस क्लब ऑफ सिक्किम की 23वीं स्थापना दिवस के शुभ अवसर पर संदेश प्रेषित किया है।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “मैं प्रेस क्लब ऑफ सिक्किम के समस्त सदस्यों को 23वें स्थापना दिवस पर हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।
लोकतंत्र के चौथे स्तंभ के रूप में स्थापित पत्रकारिता केवल सूचना का स्रोत ही नहीं, बल्कि जनता की आवाज और लोकतंत्र की शक्ति का एक सशक्त माध्यम भी है।
इस विशेष दिवस पर मैं प्रेस क्लब ऑफ सिक्किम के उन समर्पित पत्रकारों को विशेष बधाई देता हूँ जिन्होंने सत्यनिष्ठा और प्रतिबद्धता के साथ समाज के हित में योगदान दिया है। ‘कंचनजंघा कलम पुरस्कार’ और ‘लगनशील युवा पत्रकार पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित प्रतिभाओं को मेरी ओर से विशेष बधाई।
