Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur participated in Vishwakarma Puja celebration at Lok Bhavan today which was organised by Lok Bhavan drivers.

The Governor performed a havan yachna and offered prayers, seeking the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and symbol of craftsmanship.

The Governor was joined by the Commissioner cum Secretary Lok Bhavan, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje and others officers.

On the occassion, the Governor visited different puja pandals in an around Gangtok. He visited Tashiling Secretariat where All Sikkim Drivers’ Association had organised a Vishwakarma Puja ceremony. He participated in the prayers and extended Vishwakarma Puja greetings.

Subsequently, he attended the Vishwakarma Puja ceremony organised at the Sikkim Nationalised Transport (SNT) terminal and offered prayers for the prosperity, safety and well-being of the State.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने आज शिल्प देव भगवान विश्वकर्मा पूजा के पावन अवसर पर गंगटोक के विभिन्न पूजा पंडालों का भ्रमण कर विधि-विधान से पूजा-अर्चना की।इस अवसर पर माननीय राज्यपाल ने आयोजित हवन में सम्मिलित होकर आहुति दी और भगवान विश्वकर्मा से समस्त सिक्किम वासियों के उत्तम स्वास्थ्य, सुख, समृद्धि और कल्याण के लिए प्रार्थना की।

अपने पूजा भ्रमण के दौरान राज्यपाल महोदय लोकभवन परिसर में आयोजित विश्वकर्मा पूजा कार्यक्रम में सम्मिलित हुए। यहाँ उन्होंने आयुक्त-सह-सचिव श्री जितेंद्र सिंह राजे सहित उपस्थित अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों के साथ श्रद्धाभाव से पूजा-अर्चना की। इसके अतिरिक्त, राज्यपाल महोदय ताशिलिंग सचिवालय पहुँचे, जहाँ ऑल सिक्किम ड्राइवर्स एसोसिएशन द्वारा पूजा का आयोजन किया गया था। इसके बाद राज्यपाल महोदय सिक्किम नैशनलाइज्ड ट्रांसपोर्ट (SNT) बस स्टैंड में आयोजित पूजा समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुए।
