18.07.2026 : The Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly (SLA), Shri M N Sherpa and Deputy Speaker, Smt Raj Kumari Thapa called on the Governor of Sikkim today here at Lok Bhavan.

The Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly (SLA), Shri M N Sherpa and Deputy Speaker, Smt Raj Kumari Thapa called on the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur today here at Lok Bhavan.

During the call on, the Speaker of SLA formally invited the Governor for the upcoming Budget Session and to address the Sikkim Legislative Assembly which starts from 20 July, 26 (Monday).

The Speaker briefed the Governor about the business of Budget Session 2026-27 of the Eleventh SLA (Fourth Session, Part-II)

The Governor graciously accepted the invitation to address the upcoming Budget Session.

During the meeting, SLA Secretary, Principal Director and Private Secretary to Speaker were also present.

सिक्किम विधान सभा के माननीय अध्यक्ष श्री एम. एन. शेर्पा तथा माननीय उपाध्यक्ष श्रीमती राजकुमारी थापा ने आज लोकभवन, सिक्किम में माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

भेंट के दौरान, माननीय अध्यक्ष ने राज्यपाल महोदय को आगामी 20 जुलाई 2026 से प्रारंभ हो रहे बजट सत्र में सम्मिलित होने तथा सिक्किम विधान सभा को संबोधित करने के लिए निमंत्रण दिया।

माननीय अध्यक्ष ने माननीय राज्यपाल को ग्यारहवीं विधान सभा (चतुर्थ सत्र, भाग-द्वितीय) के वित्तीय वर्ष 2026-27 के बजट सत्र के कार्यकलापों की जानकारी दी।
राज्यपाल महोदय निमंत्रण को स्वीकार करते हुए अपनी शुभकामनाएं दीं हैं।
बैठक के दौरान विधान सभा सचिव श्री ललित गुरुंग, प्रधान निदेशक कर्मा टी. जी. भूटिया तथा माननीय अध्यक्ष के निजी सचिव श्री आदर्श छेत्री उपस्थित रहे।
