20.02.2024: Statehood day celebration of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh at Raj Bhavan, Sikkim.

In a celebration aligning with the vision of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”, Raj Bhavan Sikkim commemorated the foundation of two northeastern states, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. The event, held at Raj Bhavan, Sikkim, commenced with virtual messages from the Hon’ble Governors of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, which added a special touch to the celebration, marking their respective statehood days. Secretary Raj Bhavan, Shri JD Bhutia, highlighted the significance of the day and expressed sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his visionary commitment to celebrating Statehood Day across India.
Amidst the festivities, the successful commencement of the three-day program under the banner “Hamro Sankalp: Viksit Bharat Pushpit Sikkim” was acknowledged, with staff from Raj Bhavan, SSB, Forest Department, and ITBP being felicitated for their contributions.
A captivating cultural show presented by SSB Jawans from Arunachal Pradesh showcased the rich tapestry of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh, along with performances by Raj Bhavan staff.
Special thanks were extended to Inspector SSB for their constant cooperation in the statehood day celebrations at Raj Bhavan.
