Dr. L.P. Sharma, SIO of National Informatics Centre (NIC), Sikkim paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today.
During the meeting, The Hon’ble Governor was briefed by Dr. Sharma on a number of e-governance initiatives that are transforming the state’s e-governance, including e-District, e-Jail, e-Office, Public Distribution System, e-Transport, e-Tendering, and Cloud. He also presented a copy of the National Informatics Center, Sikkim’s Project Profile to the Hon’ble Governor which mentioned the NIC’s initiatives to support Sikkim’s digital transformation.
Dr. Sharma highlighted several key challenges faced by NIC during the implementation of ongoing projects. In response, the Hon’ble Governor assured his support and cooperation from Raj Bhavan to address the challenges for digital empowerment. The Hon’ble Governor also called upon the officers to ensure that technologies available in the state must be used on the ground.
Dr. Sharma was accompanied by Senior Directors Shri T G Namgyal, Shri D K Basnet, Shri Ranjit Chamling, and Director, Smt. Vineeta Lakhotia.आज राजभवन में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार, सिक्किम राज्य इकाई, गंगटोक के अधिकारियों ने डॉ. एलपी शर्मा, राज्य सूचना विज्ञान अधिकारी (सिक्किम), के साथ में शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
इस दौरान श्री शर्मा ने माननीय राज्यपाल को सिक्किम राज्य में चल रही डिजिटल इंडिया पहलों जैसे ई-डिस्ट्रिक्ट, ई-जेल, ई-ऑफिस, सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली, ई-परिवहन, ई-टेंडरिंग, क्लाउड आदि के बारे में जानकारी दी।
इसके अतिरिक्त, उन्होंने माननीय राज्यपाल को राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र, सिक्किम राज्य इकाई की परियोजना प्रोफाइल की एक प्रति भी प्रस्तुत की। साथ ही संबंधित कई मुद्दों और चुनौतियों पर भी प्रकाश डाला गया, जिसके लिए माननीय राज्यपाल ने उन चुनौतियों को दूर करने के लिए हर संभव सहायता का आश्वासन दिया है।
इस दौरान श्री टेम्पिस जी नामग्याल, वरिष्ठ निदेशक (आईटी) और अतिरिक्त एसआईओ (राज्य), श्री डीके बसनेत, वरिष्ठ निदेशक (आईटी) और अतिरिक्त एसआईओ (जिला), श्री रंजीत चामलिंग, वरिष्ठ निदेशक (आईटी) और एचओडी कोर सर्विसेज और श्रीमती विनीता लखोटिया, निदेशक (आईटी) की उपस्थिति रही |
