    Hon’ble Governor attended the Shri Vaweeshya Maha Puran at Sang Byang

    The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, attended the Shri Vaweeshya Maha Puran (Katha) at the 118-year-old Shiva Mandir (Byang Baijanath Dham). He offered prayers and Aarti to Lord Shiva and Panchayan Gods & Goddesses, seeking blessings for the peace and prosperity of the people of Sikkim.

    Addressing the gathered audience, the Hon’ble Governor expressed sincere appreciation for being part of this auspicious Puran, extending warm regards to all involved for their contributions to the preservation of Indian culture. He emphasized the crucial need to convey the significance of self and instil positive values for societal betterment.

    Highlighting the importance of passing on cultural values for the vision of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat,” the Hon’ble  Governor noted the empowerment of mothers in the gathering, attending with their children. He stressed that elders must instil cultural values in children for the betterment of the nation.

    The puran was organized by Byang Baijanath Dham Shiva Panchaytan Mandir Sanchalan Samiti,  the Hon’ble Governor was warmly welcomed with the offerings of garlands and khadas by the Area MLA of Sang Martam Shri Sonam Venchungpa, Panchayat President, Panchayat of GPUs, locals, students of Namgaythang Junior High School, and members of Byang Baijanath Dham Shiva Panchaytan Mandir Sanchalan Samiti.
