On the auspicious occasion of Guru Rimpoche’s Thrunkar Tshechu, the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur has extended his warm greetings to the people of Sikkim especially Buddhists community.
In his message the Governor said “Guru Rimpoche’s Thrunkar Tshechu is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava, whom Sikkimese people reverentially and fondly call Guru Rimpoche, a patron saint. Sikkim, a land truly blessed as Bayul Demojong (the hidden valley of rice), was sanctified by Guru Rimpoche during the 8th century.
On the auspicious occasion of Thrunkar Tshechu, we honor the life and teachings of Guru Padmasambhava, which continue to guide humanity towards compassion, wisdom, and inner peace. May his ideals and teaching inspire us to foster harmony, uphold righteousness, and build a more enlightened society.
This festival reminds us of the enduring principles of patience, love, and togetherness that define our shared humanity. Sikkim has always upheld the ethos of ‘Unity in Diversity’, where all communities come together to celebrate each other’s traditions, festivals, reinforcing a culture of mutual respect and harmony.”
The Governor prayed that Guru Rimpoche’s blessings continue to guide the State towards peace, prosperity and happiness and strengthen Sikkim’s unique cultural diversity and spiritual heritage.
सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने गुरु रिनपोछे थ्रुन्कर त्शेचु के अवसर पर सिक्किम वासियों को अपनी शुभकामनाएं दी हैं।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “गुरु रिनपोछे थ्रुन्कर त्शेचु के इस पावन अवसर पर, मैं सिक्किम के सभी नागरिकों और समस्त बौद्ध अनुयायियों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।
यह पवित्र दिन महान आध्यात्मिक गुरु पद्मसंभव (गुरु रिनपोछे) की जयंती के रूप में मनाया जाता है, जिन्हें हम सिक्किमवासी अपने संरक्षक संत के रूप में श्रद्धा के साथ पूजते हैं। मान्यता अनुसार 8वीं शताब्दी में गुरु रिनपोछे ने हमारी पावन भूमि ‘बयुल द्रेमोजोंग’ (चावल की छिपी हुई घाटी) को अपने चरणों से पावन किया था और हिमालयी क्षेत्र में बौद्ध धर्म का प्रसार किया था।
गुरु रिनपोछे की शिक्षाएं हमें शांति, करुणा, आपसी भाईचारे और नैतिक मूल्यों का मार्ग दिखाती हैं। सिक्किम ‘विविधता में एकता’ की जीवंत मिसाल है, जहां सभी संप्रदायों और धर्मों के लोग एक दूसरे की संस्कृति का सम्मान करते हुए अपनी संस्कृति का हर्षोल्लास के साथ पालन करते हैं।
आइए, इस अवसर पर हम सभी गुरु रिनपोछे के बताए करुणा और सद्भाव के मार्ग पर चलने का संकल्प लें।
मैं प्रार्थना करता हूँ कि गुरु रिनपोछे का आशीर्वाद हमारे राज्य में सुख, शांति, समृद्धि और सामूहिक प्रगति का मार्ग प्रशस्त करे।
