25.02.2025 : Director of the CRC for the Skill Development, Empowerment & Rehabilitation of PWDs, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim at Raj Bhavan today. (In English & Hindi)

Ms. Pushpanjali Gupta, Director of the Composite Regional Centre, (CRC) for the Skill Development, Empowerment & Rehabilitation of PWDs, Assam Linzey, Pakyong District, along with officials and students from the Centre, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today.
During the meeting, the Director apprised the Hon’ble Governor about the activities and ongoing initiatives of the CRC. The Director also extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Governor to grace the occasion of the distribution of assistive devices to senior citizens under the RVY Scheme, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

The Hon’ble Governor asked them to continue their efforts in working together for differently-abled people to create an inclusive society.

The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation, and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), CRC Sikkim, has been functioning at Assam Lingzey, Pakyong, Sikkim, under the administrative control of the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD), Kolkata, Department for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJE), Government of India. Since its establishment in 2020, it has been providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to Persons with Disabilities in the areas of health, education, and skill development.

आज राजभवन में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से पुष्पांजलि गुप्ता, निदेशक, समेकित क्षेत्रीय कौशल विकास पुनर्वास एवं दिव्यांग्जन सशक्तिकरण केंद्र,असम लिङजे (सीआरसी- सिक्किम)ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

बैठक के दौरान, निदेशक ने माननीय राज्यपाल को केंद्र की गतिविधियों और उनके द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयासों के बारे में सूचित किया, जिनका उद्देश्य दिव्यांगजनों को सशक्त बनाना और उनके विकास के लिए सहयोग करना है। इसके अतिरिक्त, निदेशक ने माननीय राज्यपाल को वरिष्ठ नागरिकों को प्रदान किए जा रहे सहायता उपकरण के बारे में भी अवगत कराया, जो सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार की आरवीवाई योजना के अंतर्गत आता है। यह कार्यक्रम विशेष रूप से वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने और उनके जीवन की गुणवत्ता में सुधार लाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने सीआरसी- सिक्किम से उन्हें अपनी मेहनत जारी रखने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। राज्यपाल महोदय ने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया कि दिव्यांग्जन को समर्थन और अवसर प्रदान करने से न केवल उनके जीवन की गुणवत्ता में सुधार होता है, बल्कि यह एक समृद्ध और समावेशी समाज की नींव भी रखता है।
सीआरसी- सिक्किम, नेशनल इंस्टिट्यूट फॉर लोकमोटर डिसएबिलिटीज़, कोलकाता के अंतर्गत दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग, सामाजिक न्याय एवं सशक्तिकरण मंत्रालय भारत सरकार के तहत कार्यरत है। इसकी स्थापना 2020 में हुई थी और तब से यह स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, और कौशल विकास के क्षेत्रों में दिव्यांगजन को सेवाएं प्रदान कर रहा है।
