25.03.2026 : Ahead of the first Assembly Session of the year 2026, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly called on Governor of Sikkim at Lok Bhavan here today.
Ahead of the first Assembly Session of the year 2026, the Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly (SLA), Shri M N Sherpa and the Deputy Speaker SLA, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa called on Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan here today.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker formally invited the Governor to deliver his address in the first session of the Assembly in a calendar year 2026 schedule to be held on 26 March, 2026.
During the meeting, the Speaker Shri M N Sherpa apprised the Governor about the preparedness for the session and discussed other business matters of assembly.
The Governor accepted the invitation and conveyed his best wishes for the smooth and successful conduct of the session.
The dignitaries were accompanied by the Secretary SLA, Shri Lalit Kumar Gurung, Principal Director, Shri Karma Tshering and other officials.
सिक्किम विधान सभा के माननीय अध्यक्ष श्री मिंगमा नोरबु शेर्पा एवं माननीय उपाध्यक्ष श्रीमती राजकुमारी थापा ने आज लोकभवन में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
यह भेंट आगामी 26 मार्च 2026 को आयोजित होने वाले विधान सभा सत्र से पूर्व की गई। इस अवसर पर माननीय राज्यपाल और प्रतिनिधिमंडल के बीच सत्र की तैयारियों एवं अन्य विषयों पर चर्चा हुई।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने इस अवसर पर आमंत्रण को स्वीकार किया और आगामी विधान सभा सत्र के लिए अपनी शुभकामनाएँ व्यक्त कीं हैं।
इस दौरान सचिव श्री ललित कुमार गुरूंग, प्रधान निदेशक श्री कर्मा छिंगरिंग ग्यात्सो भूटिया तथा माननीय अध्यक्ष के निजी सचिव श्री आदर्श छेत्री उपस्थित रहे।
