The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya extends warm greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of Pughal Parim.

The Hon’ble Governor remarked, “I extend my warm greetings to the people of Sikkim, on the occasion of Pughal Parim, a significant festival celebrated by the Bhujel community in Sikkim. This five-day celebration starts from the Mangshire Purney, where different natural deities are worshipped.

It is a time for the community to rejoice, celebrate ancestral traditions, express gratitude to Mother Nature for a good harvest and come together in unity. On this auspicious occasion, I wish for happiness, good health, and abundance for all the citizens of Sikkim.
