The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharaya, took part in the celebration of the 75th Republic Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan. The event commenced with the hoisting of the tricolor flag, symbolizing unity and pride.
The Hon’ble Governor also offered floral tribute to the eminent figures of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Subhash Chandra Bose at Raj Bhavan premises embodying the spirit of India’s freedom struggle.

The Hon’ble Governor then celebrated the occasion with the staff of Raj Bhavan along with ITBP by sharing of sweets. Addressing the occasion he recalled the sacrifices of the great men from the past and applauded the rich history of our nation. Further, he also urged everyone to work unitedly and sincerely towards the cause of society and the nation as a whole.
