In line with the upcoming celebrations marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood, an inter-departmental meeting was convened today at the New Raj Bhavan under the directives of the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur. The meeting was chaired by Shri Jitendra Singh Raje (IAS), the Commissioner cum Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor, in his first such engagement after assuming the office.
The meeting saw the participation of key officials from several line departments, including the Buildings and Housing Department, the Energy and Power Department, the Urban Development Department (UDD), and the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department.
The Commissioner cum Secretary commenced by emphasizing the importance of focused efforts to ensure the successful completion of key projects within the premises of Raj Bhavan for the upcoming celebrations. The responsibilities were also given to the different departments.
The meeting was concluded with a commitment from all departments to complete the outlined projects in a timely manner in line with the 50th statehood celebration.

सिक्किम राज्य स्थापना की 50 वीं वर्षगांठ समारोह की आगामी योजनाओं के संदर्भ में, आज राजभवन सिक्किम में एक अंतर-विभागीय बैठक आयोजित की गई। यह बैठक सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर के निर्देशानुसार बुलाई गई थी। इस बैठक की अध्यक्षता माननीय राज्यपाल के सचिव, श्री जितेंद्र सिंह राजे ने की, यह बैठक उनके कार्यालय संभालने के बाद पहली बैठक है।
बैठक में निर्माण एवं आवास विभाग, बिजली आपूर्ति विभाग, शहरी विकास विभाग और पशुपालन एवं पशु चिकित्सा सेवाएं विभाग के अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया।
सचिव ने बैठक की शुरुआत करते हुए राजभवन परिसर में आगामी समारोहों के लिए कई महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाओं की समयबद्ध पूर्णता पर जोर दिया। इसके साथ ही विभिन्न विभागों को उनकी जिम्मेदारियां भी सौंपी गईं।
बैठक का समापन सभी विभागों द्वारा निर्धारित परियोजनाओं को समय पर पूरा करने की प्रतिबद्धता के साथ हुआ जिससे राज्य स्थापना की 50वीं वर्षगांठ का समारोह सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित किया जा सके।
