    The Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur extended his best wishes to the people of Sikkim especially the Lepcha & Bhutia communities on the auspicious occasion of “Pang Lhabsol”.

    In his message, the Governor said, “Pang Lhabsol” is a unique festival of Sikkim celebrated annually to commemorate the consecration of Mount Khangchendzonga as the guardian deity of Sikkim. The day commemorates the treaty of brotherhood between the Lepcha and the Bhutia communities at Kabi Lungchok.

    Sikkim is a land of diverse festivals, where each celebration is a reflection of our rich cultural heritage, bringing people together in shared joy and community spirit.

    The mighty Khangchendzonga continue to bestow peace and communal harmony in Sikkim and guide the people to path of progress and prosperity.
