On the auspicious occasion of “Gopashtami”, the Sikkim Governor, Om Prakash Mathur laid the foundation stone of Shri Govardhannath Temple and the Go-Gopal Corridor at Sri Pathmeda Godham Mahatirth, Nandgaon, Sirohi district of Rajasthan today.
Sri Pathmeda Godham Mahatirth is considered as the world’s largest gaushala which was founded by Swami Shree DattSharananadji Maharaj.
“Gopashtami” is a Hindu festival occurring on “Ashtami of Kartik” month, in which cows and bulls are rendered worship.
While addressing the gathering, the Governor, Om Prakash Mathur
described the laying of foundation stone of the Shri Govardhannath Temple and the Go-Gopal Corridor at Sri Pathmeda Godham Mahatirth as a happy and historic moment for every individuals. He expressed his profound joy and gratitude for being part of this sacred initiative on such an auspicious day “Gopashtami”.
He emphasized that this divine endeavor aims to rejuvenate Vedic culture and the spirit of “Gau Sewa”.
He remarked that the establishment of Shri Govardhannath Temple and the Go-Gopal Corridor represents a significant effort towards reviving Vedic culture and promoting the spirit of “Gau Sewa”. Emphasizing the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the cow in Indian tradition, the Governor stated, “In Sanatan Dharma, the Gau Mata is not merely an animal, it’s a symbol of Indian culture and faith.”
The Hon’ble Governor also called upon saints, public representatives, and devotees to take a collective pledge to serve and protect cows, underscoring deep Indian cultural heritage.
The Shri Govardhannath Temple and Go-Gopal Corridor Project is a divine initiative for cultural and spiritual revival, designed to spread the values of Vedic cow culture. The project includes the development of temples, corridors, and other facilities.
The event was attended by saints, MPs, MLAs, former MPs & MLAs, management members of Shri Godham Mahatirth Pathmeda Gaushala and devotees.
आज गोपाष्टमी के पावन अवसर पर एशिया महाद्वीप की सबसे बड़ी गौशाला श्री गोधाम महातीर्थ पथमेड़ा, नंदगांव में एक ऐतिहासिक आयोजन सम्पन्न हुआ। इस अवसर पर परम पूज्य गोऋषि श्री दत्तशरणानंद जी महाराज के सत्संकल्प से श्री गोवर्धननाथ मंदिर एवं गो-गोपाल कोरिडोर के शिलान्यास समारोह में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओमप्रकाश माथुर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने अपने करकमलों से मंदिर का शिलान्यास किया और गोपाष्टमी के पावन अवसर पर इस पुनीत कार्य के लिए अपनी उपस्थिति पर प्रसन्नता जाहिर करते हुए कहा कि यह हर्ष और सौभाग्य की बात है कि मुझे श्री गोवर्धननाथ मंदिर और गो-गोपाल कोरिडोर के शिलान्यास का सौभाग्य मिला। यह स्थान गोसेवा और वैदिक संस्कृति को पुनर्जीवित करने का एक दिव्य प्रयास है। उन्होंने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया कि गौमाता केवल आस्था का विषय नहीं, बल्कि भारतीय संस्कृति के संस्कारों की पहचान है।
माननीय राज्यपाल ने सभी उपस्थित संत महात्माओं, जनप्रतिनिधियों और श्रद्धालुओं से गौसेवा का संकल्प लेने का आह्वान किया।
समारोह में मंच पर परम पूज्य परमहंस स्वामी श्री प्रज्ञानानंद जी, पूज्य संत श्री प्रखर जी महाराज सहित अनेक संतगण विराजमान रहे। साथ ही सांसद श्री लुम्बाराम जी, पूर्व सांसद श्री पुष्प जी, विधायक श्री छगन राजपुरोहित जी, विधायक श्री समाराम जी, पूर्व विधायक श्री धर्मनारायण जोशी जी की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही। श्री गोधाम महातीर्थ पथमेड़ा गौशाला के अध्यक्ष श्री रघुनाथसिंह जी, कोषाध्यक्ष श्री ओमप्रकाश गर्ग तथा महामंत्री श्री अर्जुन सिंह जी ने आयोजन में सहभागिता की ।
श्री गोवर्धननाथ मंदिर और गो-गोपाल कोरिडोर की परिकल्पना वैदिक गोपालन संस्कृति को जन-जन तक पहुंचाने का एक प्रयास है, जिसमें सुरभि सौरभ भवन, कामधेनु गोप्रासादम्, सप्त गौ ऋषि कुटीर, श्री नन्दिनी विहार, गोवत्स क्रीड़ास्थल और विराट मंदिर का निर्माण प्रस्तावित है। समारोह में देशभर से आए गोप्रेमी श्रद्धालुओं ने भाग लिया और गौसंवर्धन के संकल्प के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ।
