The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman  Prasad Acharya, extends warm wishes to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of Tamu Lochar.

In his message, the Hon’ble Governor expressed heartfelt greetings for Tamu Lochar, especially to the Gurung community. Tamu Lochar, is a significant celebration for the Gurung community, it heralds the commencement of the Gurung New Year and embodies rich cultural traditions.

As the community steps into this new year, the Hon’ble  Governor wishes for the spirit of Tamu Lochar to bring prosperity, joy, and brotherhood among the people of Sikkim.He encourages everyone to wholeheartedly embrace the festivities, fostering unity and understanding.
