On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, has conveyed his message to the people of Sikkim.

In his message, the Governor said, On Martyrs’ Day, we bow our heads in reverence to honor the sacrifices of the brave souls who gave their lives for the freedom, unity, and dignity of our nation. This day holds special significance as it marks the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation, who epitomized nonviolence and selfless service. The life of Mahatma Gandhi is a guiding light for all of us, inspiring us to continuously walk on the path of peace, harmony, compassion, and justice.”

The Governor appealed to the people of Sikkim to uphold the ideals and the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi in their lives, and to work together in strengthening India’s unity, promoting social cohesion to make more progressive and self-reliant Bharat.

शहीद दिवस पर सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने सिक्किम वासियों को संदेश प्रेषित किया है।

अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “शहीद दिवस के अवसर पर हम उन वीरों और वीरांगनाओं को नमन करते हैं जिन्होंने राष्ट्र की स्वतंत्रता और अखंडता के लिए अपना सर्वस्व अर्पित किया। उनका बलिदान ही हमारी स्वतंत्रता का आधार है।

इस अवसर पर मैं हमारे राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी जी की पुण्यतिथि पर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करता हूँ। उन्होंने हमें सत्य और अहिंसा का अमूल्य संदेश दिया। बापू का जीवन हमारे लिए एक दीपस्तंभ है, जो हमें शांति, सद्भाव और न्याय के मार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा देता है।

इस अवसर पर मैं सिक्किम के नागरिकों से अनुरोध करता हूँ कि हम सब मिलकर शहीदों के आदर्शों और गांधी जी के विचारों को अपने जीवन में उतारें और एकजुट होकर समाज तथा राष्ट्र को और अधिक सशक्त, समरस और प्रगतिशील बनाएँ।
