The Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur visited Yakla Pass today situated at an 14700 ft and he engaged with Indian Army officers and jawans.

The Governor, while continuing his endeavour to reach out the armed forces at the border areas, interacted with troops of Indian Army and personnel and acknowledged their unwavering dedication and sacrifices. He commended their bravery and dedication in the challenging high-altitude environment.

During the visit, the Governor inspected the various developmental projects entrusted to the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the Indian Army.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने आज 14700 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित याक्ला दर्रे का दौरा किया तथा भारतीय सेना के अधिकारियों व जवानों से मुलाकात की।

सरहदी क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा बलों का हौसला बढ़ाने के अपने प्रयासों को जारी रखते हुए माननीय राज्यपाल ने भारतीय सेना के जवानों के साथ संवाद किया । इस दौरान राज्यपाल महोदय ने अत्यंत चुनौतीपूर्ण और अत्यधिक ऊंचाई वाले क्षेत्र में देश के रक्षकों की सराहना की।
इस दौरे के दौरान राज्यपाल महोदय ने सीमा सड़क संगठन और भारतीय सेना को सौंपे गए विभिन्न विकासात्मक कार्यों व परियोजनाओं का निरीक्षण भी किया।
